The backup file created using the Xperia Backup & restore app is automatically encrypted, and kept safe using your Google™ sign-in. Your data will be handled according to the Sony Mobile privacy policy @ https://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/legal/privacy/.
The backup file is encrypted on your device before the upload, and saved in encrypted form in the cloud storage after the upload.
