    Before You Start

    Important Notes

    • Install this driver before connecting the personal audio device to the computer.
    • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

    Computer System Requirements

    • To use this driver one of the following Microsoft� Windows Vista� operating systems must be installed on the computer:
      • Windows Vista Ultimate
      • Windows Vista Business
      • Windows Vista Home Premium
      • Windows Vista Home Basic

    Download and Installation Instructions

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the PA_DRIVER-V.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the PA_DRIVER-V.EXE file to begin the installation.
    4. Please follow the on-screen prompts carefully to complete the installation.
      NOTE: The installation make take a few minutes. Please wait until the "Finished" message is displayed.
    5. After the installation program finishes, restart the computer.

    After the computer restarts, the installation of the Windows Vista Compatible Device Driver is complete.

    Verify the Driver Installation (optional)

    Look in "C:\Program Files\Sony" for the folder "Personal Audio Driver". If that folder is present, the driver installation was successful.


    NOTE: If the "Personal Audio Driver" folder is not present, download and install the driver again.
