When geotagged captured still images are saved on the SD memory card of the RTK kit, some still images are not saved

    If geotagged captured still images are saved on the SD™ memory card of the RTK kit (*), the speed of writing to the SD memory card may decrease, and some still images may not be saved, depending on the specific SD memory card and the size of the still images. In such cases, use media that doesn't result in decreased writing speed or adjust the camera settings that reduce the size of the still images to be saved.

    *This function is added from Airpeak system software version 2.2.0.

    It has been confirmed that the writing speed doesn't decrease with the following SD memory cards. (As of February 2024)
    Note: This doesn't guarantee the operation of the SD memory card itself.

    • SF-E series
      • SF-E64/SF-E64A
      • SF-E128/SF-E128A
      • SF-E256
    • TOUGH SF-M series
      • SF-M64T
      • SF-M128T
      • SF-M256T
      • SF-M512T
    • TOUGH SF-G series
      • SF-G64T
      • SF-G128T

    It is recommended that you use the SD memory card in the condition purchased or that you format the SD memory card using the "SD Memory Card Formatter" of the SD Association before use.

    • Select Quick format to format the card at the start of use.
    • Select Overwrite format to format the card when the writing speed has decreased.

    The formatter of the SD Association can be downloaded from:

    Note: When you format the SD memory card, all the data on the card will be erased. Make a backup copy of the necessary data before formatting the SD memory card.

    Hints:

    • When this issue occurs, alerts are also displayed on the Airpeak Flight app screen.

      Examples of alerts related to a decrease in the speed of writing displayed on the Airpeak Flight app screen:

      • The writing speed to the SD card in the interface unit has decreased. If the writing speed continuously decreases, please ensure that your SD card is one of the recommended models. (E001051219)
      • Some images taken couldn't be saved due to a decrease in the writing speed of the SD card in the interface unit. Please ensure that your SD card is one of the recommended models. (E001051250)
    • When set to Fine image quality and a shooting interval of 1 sec., the interval image capacity is limited. Please also check the description in Saving geotagged captured still images in the Help Guide. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
