aibo's Movements Are Unsual
You may notice the following symptoms if your aibo™ robotic companion behaves differently:
- aibo doesn't move or speak
- Eyes don't turn on
- Eyes have different colors
- aibo crouches
Solution
Check if the condition improves after completing each step.
- Put aibo into sleep mode
- On the back of aibo's neck, briefly press the power button to set it into sleep mode.
- After aibo's last movement, the status LED flashes in green, then lights in red to indicate that aibo is in sleep mode.
- If aibo crouches and its joints loose strength, or aibo doesn't move at all, place aibo on a flat surface with its paws all pointing straight ahead.
- aibo can't wake up or get up if its paws are crossed, pointing sideways, or backwards.
- Place aibo in a bright room without direct sunlight because it falls asleep in dark areas.
- Briefly press the power button again to wake up aibo.
- On the back of aibo's neck, briefly press the power button to set it into sleep mode.
- Restart aibo
- Press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn it off temporarily.
- If you turn off aibo while it's on, it finishes its current action and the status LED flashes in green, and then goes out to indicate that the power is off.
- If you turn off aibo while it's in sleep mode, the red status LED goes out to indicate that the power is off.
- Press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn it on.
- It may take a while for aibo to start moving. Don't press the power button again until aibo starts to move.
- Press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn it off temporarily.
- Perform a force shut off.
WARNING! This may cause loss of your data and settings.
- Hold aibo firmly on a flat surface, such as on a flat floor.
- This avoids the risk of dropping or damaging aibo.
- Press and hold the power button for ten seconds or longer to turn off aibo.
- Press the power button for two seconds then check if the status LED indicator is green and aibo turns on.
- It may take a few moments for aibo to start moving, so don't press the power button again. Just wait for aibo to move.
- Hold aibo firmly on a flat surface, such as on a flat floor.
