aibo Doesn't Charge

    Check if your aibo™ robotic companion charges after completing each step:

    1. Charge aibo with the power turned off.
      1. On the back of aibo's neck, press and hold the power button for two seconds.

        • The status LED turns off.
      2. Connect the AC adapter to the supply terminal on the charging mat.
      3. Plug the AC adapter to a working wall outlet using a power cord.
      4. Place aibo on the charging station with its paws facing forward.

        • Make sure to align the charging pins with the charge connectors.
        • The status LED on the back of aibo's neck lights in orange indicating that aibo is charging.
        • Wait until it turns green indicating that it has adequate charge. This make take approximately two hours.
          • You may press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn on aibo while charging.
    2. Charge aibo after performing force shut off.

      WARNING! This may cause loss of your data and settings.

      1. Take aibo off the charging station.
      2. Hold aibo firmly on a stable place, such as on a flat floor.
        • This avoids the risk of dropping or damaging aibo.
      3. Press and hold the power button for ten seconds or longer to force aibo to shut off. 
      4. Place aibo on the charging station with its paws facing forward.
        • Make sure to align the charging pins with the charge connectors.
        • The status LED on the back of aibo's neck lights in orange indicating that aibo is charging.
        • Wait until it turns green indicating that it has adequate charge. This make take approximately two hours.
          • You may press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn on aibo while charging.
