Before You Start

- You'll need a smartphone or a computer.
Set up aibo
Follow these steps to set up aibo:
-
Set up the charging station to charge aibo.
Note:
- Choose a bright room without direct sunlight.
- Avoid placing the charging station in areas with high room temperatures of 95°F (35°C) and higher.
- Allow for clearance around the charging station and keep other objects off of it.
- Place the charging stand on the charging mat.
- Slide the charging stand in the direction of the arrow until it clicks into place.
- Connect the AC adapter to the supply terminal on the charging mat.
- Plug the AC adapter to a working wall outlet using a power cord.
- Place aibo on the charging station with its paws facing forward.
- Make sure to align the charging pins with the charge connectors.
- The status LED on the back of aibo's neck lights in orange indicating that aibo is charging.
- Wait until it turns green indicating that it has adequate charge.
-
Wake up aibo.
- Take aibo off the charging station.
- Place aibo on a flat surface with its paws all pointing straight ahead.
- aibo can't wake up or get up if its paws are crossed, pointing sideways, or backwards.
- On the back of aibo's neck, slowly press and hold the power button for two seconds.
- The status LED lights in green indicating that aibo is turned on.
- Make sure not to press the power button again because it takes aibo a while to move during this period.
