How to start the computer in Safe Mode without the use of a mouse.

    1. On the keyboard, press ALT + F4 until the Turn off Computer box is displayed.
    2. In the Turn off Computer box, press the TAB key until Restart is selected.
    3. Press the ENTER key to restart the computer.
    4. At the SONY screen, press and hold the F8 key for 7 to 10 seconds.

      NOTE: The F5 key may also be used to enter Safe Mode.

    5. At the Windows Advanced Options Menu screen, press the UP ARROW key until Safe Mode is selected.
    6. Press the ENTER key.
    7. At the Please select operating system to start: screen, press the ENTER key.
    8. At the To begin, click your user name window, press the TAB key until the Administrator icon is selected.

      NOTE: If a password prompt appears, in the Type your password box, type the password and press the ENTER key.

    9. In the Windows is running in safe mode box, press the TAB key until the Yes button is selected.
    10. Press the ENTER key.
