What is the Intel Rapid Storage Technology software?
The Intel® Rapid Storage Technology software is used to manage multiple hard disc drives in a RAID configuration. The software requires a RAID controller to set up multiple hard disc drives. When the software is used with a RAID configuration, it may improve performance of hard disc intensive operations or prevent data loss when one of the drives fails.
NOTE: Not all computers have a RAID controller. To see if your computer has a RAID controller, check the specifications. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
