How to create the Recovery Media Kit using DVD discs.

    Follow this procedure to create the Recovery Media Kit using DVD discs.

    NOTE: The type of media that can be used and the number of discs required may vary depending on the type of disc drives present and the specific model used. Details are provided in the VAIO Recovery Wizard window.

    1. In the VAIO Recovery Wizard window, under You have two choices for recovery media... , click to select the One recordable compact disc and two recordable DVD disc(s)... option.
    2. Click the Next button.
    3. Insert a blank, recordable DVD into the DVD drive.
    4. Under Insert a DVD-R and click Next , click the Next button.
    5. When the writing process for this disc is complete, the drive will eject the disc. Remove the current disc from the drive and label it as directed.
    6. Under Label "Recovery disc 2 of 2" on the disc , click the Next button.
    7. Insert a blank, recordable DVD disc into the DVD drive.
    8. Under Insert a DVD-R and click Next , click the Next button.
    9. When the writing process for this disc is complete, the drive will eject the disc. Remove the current disc from the drive and label it as directed.
    10. Under Label "Recovery disc 1 of 2" on the disc , click the Next button.
    11. Insert a blank, recordable CD disc into the DVD drive.
    12. Under Insert a CD-R and click Next , click the Next button.
    13. When the writing process for this disc is complete, the drive will eject the disc. Remove the current disc from the drive and label it as directed.
    14. Under All recovery discs are complete... , click the Next button.
