Error: Internet Explorer has stopped working or may need to be reset

The message Internet Explorer has stopped working can appear after installing certain printer, scanner, or camera software and then trying to access the Internet using the Internet Explorer browser. This is caused by a conflict between the Internet Explorer browser and the files (Omnipage) loaded into startup by the installed printer, scanner, or camera software. Follow this procedure to resolve the issue.

    1. Click the Start button, click All Programs , click Accessories , and then click Run .
    2. In the Run window, type MSCONFIG , and then press the ENTER key.
    3. In the System Configuration window, click the Startup tab.
    4. On the Startup tab, click to remove the check from the box next to Omnipage , and then click the OK button.
    5. Restart the computer.

NOTE: If the Internet Explorer browser is still not responding, you may need to reset the Internet Explorer browser settings.
