What is the Xbox app and how is it used?

The Xbox app centers on integrating your Xbox game play and sharing your activity, streams, and screen shots with your friends. The purchasing of Games can be achieved using an icon in the Xbox app that will automatically launch the Store in the Games section.
NOTE: Music and Movies & TV have also moved to the Store so that all available content can be found in one place. Both Movies & TV and Music have dedicated apps for playing content after it has been purchased.
Follow these steps to access the Games section of the Store from within the Xbox app.
- Click the Start button, and in the Start menu, click the Xbox icon.
NOTE: If the Xbox icon is not available on the Start menu, click the Start button, click All apps, and then scroll to and click the Xbox icon.
- In the Xbox screen, click Sign in.
IMPORTANT: You must have be logged into the computer with a Microsoft account or have an Microsoft account to proceed. If you do not have a Microsoft account and wish to set one up, under Choose an account, click Microsoft account and follow the steps to create an account.
NOTE: If you have enable the Live tile feature for the Xbox app then you will automatically be signed in.
- In the Xbox app, click the Store icon.
- In a separate window, the Store will open to the Games section.
