The recorder is locked up or frozen.
If the recorder locks up or freezes and does not respond at all, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for one minute. Afterwards, plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn on the recorder.
If the issue is still unresolved, service may be required. Go to Product Repair.
