Before You Start

Your firmware may already be up to date, especially if you have a new Home Theater Projector. If the version number is 1.100 or higher, you do not need to update.
If you're not sure, it's easy to check which version of firmware you have. The version can be found in the “information” menu at OSD.

Download & Install

Required tools

  • USB memory: FAT32 format (Version 2.0 or after) 1GB or more

Download and Transfer the Update Folder to Your USB Storage Device

  1. Download the BASIC_PKG_1.10.00.00_PJ1 file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference) on your computer.
  2. Connect a USB storage device to your computer.
  3. Transfer the update file to the root directory of your USB storage device:
    Note: The root directory is the top directory in a file system and the update file does not have an extension.

    WARNING! Do not change the name of the file or copy to any other folder on the USB device. This update will not install successfully if the name of the folder is modified or if the folder is not copied to the root directory of the USB device.

  4. Remove the USB device from your computer.

Updating the System Software

WARNING! During the update process, do not remove the USB device or turn off the projector.

  1. Turn off the projector.
  2. Make sure no other USB device is connected to the projector before starting the update.
  3. Insert the USB storage device containing the update file into the USB port of the projector.
  4. Turn on the projector. The update process starts automatically.
    Note: The ON/STANDBY indicator will blink in amber during the update process. The update process takes about 20 minutes to complete.
  5. The projector restarts and then the ON/STANDBY indicator lights in red for 30 seconds during updating.
  6. Once the update is complete, the ON/STANDBY indicator will light up red, and the projector will enter Standby Mode.
  7. Remove the USB device.
  8. Turn on the projector.
  9. Once the projector completely starts and the laser is lit, the update process is complete.
  10. Check the current firmware version to confirm that the update has been successfully installed.
    Note: If the version number is 1.100, the firmware update was successful.
