The display does not light up or cannot be seen on my stereo receiver.

If you are unable to see the Audio/Video (A/V) receiver display or if the display does not light up, it is possible that a power fluctuation may have affected a setting. Follow the steps below to reset the A/V receiver.

IMPORTANT: The RESET procedure for the A/V receivers will vary depending on your model. If model-specific information is needed, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

    1. Some A/V receivers have a display dimmer. Verify the dimmer is set to 0% to provide maximum brightness.
    2. Verify that the speakers are set to ON.
    3. Press the Power button on the front of the A/V receiver to power it off.
    4. Press the Power button again on the front of the A/V receiver and hold the button in for approximately four to six seconds until the word INITIAL or CLEARED appears in the display.

The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If INITIAL or CLEARED does not display, service may be required.  Go to Product Repair.
