Use Amazon Music Unlimited service to play 360 Reality Audio music (for soundbars, home theater systems, and wireless speakers)

With the Amazon Music app* for Android devices, you can cast music using Amazon Alexa or Chromecast built-in.

Make sure that the Sound Bar or Wireless Speaker is updated to the latest version.

With the Amazon Music app for iOS devices, you can cast music with 360 Reality Audio or 2-channel audio via Amazon Alexa

Steps to play 360 Reality Audio music using Amazon Music Unlimited service

You need to set up the Amazon Alexa feature on the Sony | Music Center app and use a voice command or the Amazon Music app to play music:

1. Install the Sony | Music Center app on your smartphone.
   
   Notes:

   • If you have already installed the Sony | Music Center app, make sure that the app is updated to the latest version.
   • Make sure that the audio device is also updated to the latest firmware version.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup of the Sony | Music Center app.
3. In the Sony | Music Center app, connect and set up the audio device and smartphone using the same Wi-Fi® network.
   
   IMPORTANT: During the Sony | Music Center app setup, the Amazon Alexa Setup screen will appear and ask you to register the device. Do not skip this step.
   
   
   
   Note: In the Amazon Alexa Setup, you can set any device name, but we recommend using the following options to increase the accuracy of the voice recognition:

   • For HT-A9: Home Theater
   • HT-A7000, HT-A5000, HT-A3000: Soundbar
   • For SRS-RA3000, SRS-RA5000: Wireless Speaker
4. Use either voice commands or the Amazon Music app to play music:
   • Steps to use the Amazon Music app to play music.

     Select 360 Reality Audio supported music (represented with a 360 badge) in the Amazon Music app, and then tap the circle (Alexa cast) or   (Cast) icon.

     Note: Note: Make sure the Amazon Music app is updated to the latest version before following these steps.

     IMPORTANT: Tapping the circle icon representing your audio device enables you to cast the music through Amazon Alexa, and music can be played using the 360 Reality Audio feature. If you tap the square icon , the music is cast through Chromecast built-in and cannot be played using the 360 Reality Audio feature.

     
     

     • A: Chromecast built-in device name (360 Reality Audio playback available)
       
       Note: This icon will be displayed only for Android apps only.
     • B: Amazon Alexa device name (360 Reality Audio playback available)
   • Steps to use voice commands.

     You can play the 360 Reality Audio compatible music with voice commands. If you set the Alexa device name as recommended in step 3, speak the following voice commands:

     • For HT-A9: "Alexa, play the playlist three sixty reality audio on the Home Theater."
     • For HT-A7000, HT-A5000, and HT-A3000: "Alexa, play the playlist three sixty reality audio on the Soundbar."
     • For SRS-RA3000, SRS-RA5000: "Alexa, play the playlist three sixty reality audio on the Wireless Speaker."
5. Confirm that the music is played using the 360 Reality Audio feature:
   • For Wireless Speakers (models with prefix SRS-RA): The Sound Mode indicator on the wireless speaker will light up in cyan (a greenish-blue color) while you are playing the music using the 360 Reality Audio feature.
   • For Soundbars (models with prefix HT-): The 360 Reality Audio icon will appear on the playback screen while you play music using the 360 Reality Audio feature.
