I can't hear sound from the subwoofer

    IMPORTANT: This article is only for specific soundbars. If your model isn't listed in the Applicable Products and Categories section, refer to the No sound comes out of the subwoofer or the sound is low article.

    Wireless transmission issues that result in no sound from the subwoofer are generally caused by connection or interference issues.

    The on/standby indicator on the subwoofer is a good starting point for troubleshooting.

    What is the on/standby indicator status?

    Take a look at the on/standby indicator on the subwoofer, then follow the steps below that best match the indication that you see.

    The image below provides an example of where the indicator will be on the subwoofer:

    The indicator is off

    1. Make sure that the subwoofer power cord is securely connected to a working outlet.
      • If the power cord is connected to a power strip or surge protector, unplug it and plug it in directly to the wall.
    2. Press the Power button on the subwoofer.

    The indicator flashes red

    1. Turn off the subwoofer.
    2. Make sure the subwoofer has proper ventilation and nothing is blocking the ventilation holes.
    3. Turn it back on.

    The indicator flashes slowly in green or is lit in red

    1. Reposition the subwoofer so that the indicator turns green and it is not flashing.
      • Don't place the soundbar and subwoofer in a metal cabinet.
      • Keep your devices away from objects containing water and other wireless devices.
      • Place the subwoofer close to the sound bar in a room.
    2. Link the soundbar and subwoofer.
      1. On the supplied remote control, press the AMP MENU button.
      2. Select WS.
      3. Press the Enter button.
      4. Select LINK or S. ON.
      5. Press the Enter button.
      6. After START appears, press the Enter button to allow the soundbar to search for the subwoofer.
        • SEARCH will appear on the front panel display of the soundbar.
      7. Use a pen tip to gently press the LINK or SECURE LINK button on the back of the subwoofer.
        • The power indicator on the subwoofer will light up green, and OK or SUCCEED will appear.
        • Turn on the subwoofer and redo the steps above if FAILED appears.
      8. Press the AMP MENU to exit the menu.

    The indicator flashes quickly in green

    1. Turn off the subwoofer.
    2. Reset the system.
      1. Press the Power button to turn on the soundbar.
      2. Press and hold the Power button while pressing the Input button and the VOL- button (at the same time).
      3. When RESET appears on the front panel display, release the buttons.
      4. Unplug the power cord for 30 seconds.
      5. Plug in the power cord and turn on the soundbar.

      Note: After the reset, you will have to link the soundbar and the subwoofer.
