How to reset the soundbar or home theater system

Reseting your soundbar or home theater system to its factory settings will return it to its original state with out-of-the-box volume, function, sound, and personal information settings. This can be helpful if you are experiencing issues with the connection between the soundbar, subwoofer, or TV, or if there are problems with sound output.

The factory reset procedure varies depending on the soundbar or home theater system you own.

HT-A9, HT-A3000, HT-A5000, HT-A7000, HT-X9000F, HT-XF9000, HT-Z9F, HT-ZF9
Select another model

1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
2. Select Setup → Advanced Settings.
3. Select Resetting.
4. Select the menu item you want to reset.
5. Select Start.

If you cannot perform resetting using the Home menu:

• HT-A9: Press and hold the power button on the control box for more than 10 seconds.
• HT-A3000, HT-A5000, HT-7000, HT-X9000F, HT-XF9000, HT-Z9F, HT-ZF9: Press and hold the power button and - (volume down) button on the bar speaker for more than 5 seconds.
