Check the firmware version
Your firmware may already be up to date, especially if you have a new sound bar. If the version number is 2.155 or higher, you do not need to update.
If you're not sure, it's easy to check which version of firmware you have:
- Turn on your TV and check that the input your sound bar is connected to has been selected (so if the sound bar is connected to the HDMI 2 port, choose HDMI 2 as the input).
- Turn on the sound bar.
- Press [HOME] on the remote control and wait until you see the HOME screen.
- On the HOME screen, select [Setup] → [Advanced Settings] with the arrow keys on the remote control. Then press the [ENTER] key.
- Select [System Information] and press [ENTER] key.
- Check the Software Version displayed. If the version number is 2.155 or higher (The 1st and 2nd zeros of the software version number can be ignored), you already have the most recent firmware version.
Important notice
- Read the instructions carefully or you may damage your sound bar.
- Don't turn off the sound bar or disconnect it from the power while it is updating.
- Don't press any buttons, except the ones mentioned in the instructions.
- Don't disconnect the power cord while the software is downloading and updating.
