There is no sound from the rear speakers when connected to an active subwoofer.
Sony® powered subwoofers have inputs and outputs to allow for many different speaker configurations. When the subwoofer is connected to an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver from a single RCA cable, no audio signals will be sent to the speaker output terminals. These terminals are only active when the subwoofer is receiving a signal from the speaker level input connections.
