How do I play 8K photos and videos on my 8K TV?

Note: 8K BRAVIA TVs can only display 8K video content from devices connected via HDMI®.

Use the Media Player app to display 8K photos from a USB storage device or a network drive.

Follow these steps to playback 8K video from a compatible HDMI device.

1. Connect your 8K compatible device to the HDMI 4 port using a Premium High-Speed HDMI cable.
   Some HDMI devices that output an 8K signal require an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable. In that case, use an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable.
2. Follow these steps to set the HDMI signal format for HDMI4 port to Enhanced format (4K120, 8K) or Enhanced format (8K).
   1. Open the Settings screen.
      • Use the Quick Settings button.
        1. On the remote control, press the (Quick Settings) button.
        2. Select Settings.

      • Use the HOME button.

        1. On the remote control, press HOME.
        2. Select Settings.

   2. The following steps will depend on your TV menu options

      • Select Channels & Inputs → External inputs → HDMI signal format → HDMI 4 (8K) → Enhanced format (4K120, 8K).
      • Select Watching TV → External inputs→ HDMI signal format → HDMI 4 (8K) → Enhanced format (8K).

3. Play and view your 8K video.
