How do I close apps on my Android TV or Google TV?

    The steps to close an app on your Android TV™ or Google TV™ vary depending on your model and the version of the operating system of your TV.
    Select your operating system or use the steps that best match the menu options for your TV:

    Android 10/11 operating systems

    1. On the supplied remote control, press the (Quick Settings) button.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. From the Settings screen, select Apps.
    4. Press the up arrow or down arrow button to highlight the app you want to close, and then press Enter button.
    5. Select Force stop.

    Android 8.0/9.0 operating systems

    1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
    2. From the HOME screen, either select Apps or press and hold the HOME button to open the list of installed apps.
    3. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the app you want to close.
    4. Press and hold the Enter button until an options window opens, and then select Info.
    5. Select Force stop.

    Android 7.0 operating system and below

    1. On the supplied remote control, press and hold the HOME button until the list of apps appears.
    2. Use the left arrow or right arrow button to highlight the app you want to close.
    3. Press the down arrow button to highlight the X (Dismiss) icon, and then press the Enter button.
