My TV displays a blank white screen when entering Screen saver or Daydream mode

    The Screen saver or Daydream function is turned on by default. If the clock on your TV doesn't match the time of your internet server, the TV won't download pictures and it displays a white screen instead.

    Follow the steps below to set your TV to network or broadcast time, or to turn off the Screen saver or Daydream functions:

    Set your TV to network or broadcast time

    • If your TV is connected to the internet:
      1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
      2. Select the Settings gear icon.
      3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Device PreferencesDate & timeAutomatic date & time → set to Enabled, Use network time, or Use network provided time.
        • Select Date & timeAutomatic date & time → set to Enabled.
        • Select Date & timeAutomatic date & time → set to Use network time.
        • Select Date & timeAutomatic date & time → set to On, and then select Time synchronization → set to Use network-provided time.
    • If your TV isn't connected to the internet:
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Device PreferencesDate & timeAutomatic date & time → set to Enabled, Use network time, or Use network provided time.
        • Select Date & timeAutomatic date & time → set to Enabled.
        • Select Date & timeAutomatic date & time → set to Use broadcast time.
        • Select Date & timeAutomatic date & time → set to Off, and then set the date and time manually.

          Note: The date and time can be adjusted when Use broadcast time is selected.

    Turn off the Screen saver or Daydream functions

    If you prefer to turn off the Screen saver or Daydream functions, follow the steps below:

    1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
    2. Select the Settings gear icon.
    3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:

      Note: The menu options may vary, select the options you prefer, or refer to your TV manuals for additional information.

      • Select Device PreferencesScreen saverScreen saver → set to Turn screen off. (Android™ 9)
      • Select Screen saverScreen saver → set to Sleep. (Android 8)
      • Select DaydreamDaydream → set to Sleep or None. (Android 6.0 or earlier)
