Automatic Broadcast Updates for TV Software

As part of our commitment to provide or customers with the best possible television viewing experience Sony has started a program to broadcast automatic television software updates directly to certain BRAVIA® televisions. These updates are designed to keep up with programming changes and to enhance the overall viewing experience.

The update will be sent to televisions when they are in standby mode to avoid interrupting normal viewing. The first time the television is powered on after receiving an automatic update the following screen will be displayed.



When this message appears, please follow the on-screen instructions to complete the software update.

Note: Televisions that are connected to a cable box or a satellite receiver will require that the update be installed using the USB connection. In these cases, or in cases where the broadcast software updates are unsuccessful, please download the software update.
