The sound from the TV is no longer heard from the soundbar.

The TV may lose connection to a soundbar speaker because many sound bar speakers have an energy saving feature to turn off the soundbar when sound is not being sent to it. To avoid this either turn off this energy saving feature or avoid leaving the TV on and in a state that it is not transmitting sound to the speaker.
