The Screen mirroring or Wi-Fi direct compatible device doesn't detect my TV

    If BRAVIA or the model number of your TV isn't displayed on the device screen, set the input of your TV to Screen mirroring or turn on the Wi-Fi Direct® feature depending on which feature your device supports.

    Devices that support Screen mirroring

    Make sure that the TV input is set to Screen mirroring.

    • If Screen mirroring isn't displayed in the input menu, your TV doesn't support this feature.
    • Connectivity with all Miracast™ compatible devices isn't guaranteed.
    • The video quality may be degraded due to environmental interference.

    Devices that support Wi-Fi Direct

    The steps may differ depending on your TV and operating system (OS). Check your manual for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

    Android TV™ and Google TV™ models

    1. Open the Settings screen.
    2. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options
      • Select Network & InternetWi-Fi DirectWi-Fi Direct Settings.
      • Select NetworkWi-Fi DirectWi-Fi Direct Settings.
      • Select NetworkWi-Fi DirectWi-Fi Direct → set to OnWi-Fi Direct Settings.
    3. Check if BRAVIA or the model number of your TV appears on the device screen.

    Other TV models

    Make sure that Built-in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct settings are set to On. The images and steps may vary depending on your model.

    1. Press the HOME button.
    2. Select System Settings or Network.
      • If the TV shows Network, skip to step 6.
    3. Select Setup.
    4. Select Wi-Fi Setup.
    5. Select Built-in Wi-Fi or Built-in Wireless LAN.
    6. Select On.
    7. Select Wi-Fi Direct.
    8. Select On.
    9. Select Wi-Fi Direct Settings.
    10. Follow the on-screen instructions and then check if BRAVIA or the model number of your TV appears on the screen of your device.
    11. If the issue still occurs, change the wireless channel frequency on the router between channels 1 and 11.
      • Your TV won't appear on the compatible devices if the router is set to channel frequency 12 or 13. Contact your internet service provider (ISP) or check your wireless router manual for more information.
