The TV software update fails or takes a long time to finish

In order to Download a software update requires a stable high-speed internet connection. If you have a slow internet connection, the software update may take time to complete or it may fail.

To help avoid this issue, you can use one of the following options:

• Option 1: Download the software update to a USB flash drive and install it on your TV. Downloads are posted on your model support page.
• Option 2: Set the Automatic software download to On in the TV menu.
  This allows the TV to automatically download new updates while in standby model. The procedure varies depending on your TV type. Check your TV manual for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
  • Android TV™ models:
    1. On the supplied remote, press the HELP button.
    2. f your TV has the Automatic software download setting, select System software update → Automatic software download.
    3. Set to On.
  • Other LCD / LED TV models:
    1. Press the HOME button.
    2. Select Settings → Customer Support → Automatic Software Download.
    3. Select it to On.
