IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

Connect your internet capable Blu-ray Disc™ player, TV, or Network media player to your network and the internet using a wireless or wired connection.

    Before you start

    • Make sure your modem and router are setup and your network is connected to the internet. For details, refer to your modem and router manuals, or contact your internet provider or the device manufacturer for assistance.
    • If you choose to use a wired connection, it requires connecting a network cable (not supplied) from the router to the LAN port on the back of your device.
    • LAN-ready devices require additional equipment (wireless LAN adapter, gaming adapter, wireless bridge, or powerline adapter).

    Network connection options

Using a wired (network cable) connection generally provides the best performance. Using a wireless connection depends on if your device has built-in wireless or is LAN-ready. Select your preferred connection option:

    • Wired (network cable) connection

Note: Steps may vary depending on your model. For model specific information, check your device manuals. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
