The Touchpad Remote Control stops working with the Android TV.

    Unlike the infrared (IR) remote supplied with the TV, the Touchpad Remote Control uses the Bluetooth® wireless feature to connect to the TV. Like other Bluetooth devices, the Bluetooth connection between the Touchpad Remote Control and the TV is susceptible to interference or loss of connection. This article is designed to assist in cases where the connection between the TV and the Touchpad Remote Control becomes unpaired or the TV stops responding to the Touchpad Remote.

    If the Touchpad Remote Control suddenly stopped working, follow these steps below.

    NOTE: Each of these steps may resolve the issue, try the Touchpad Remote Control after following each of these steps.

    1. Power cycle the TV.

      1. Unplug the TV power cord from the wall.
      2. Wait for 10 seconds.
      3. Connect the TV power cord to the wall.
    2. Replace the batteries in the remote with new batteries.

    3. Make sure that the Bluetooth setting on the TV has not been turned off.

      1. Using the supplied IR remote control, press the HOME button.

      2. On the HOME menu, scroll down to Settings.
      3. Under the Settings category, select Network & Accessories.
      4. Under the Network & Accessories category, select Bluetooth settings.

      5. Confirm if the Bluetooth settings is On. Set it to Off, then back to On.

    NOTE: If you just purchased the Touchpad Remote control and have not paired it, follow the pairing instructions.

    Additional tips and troubleshooting:

    • The TV should have the latest software update installed .
    • If another Touch Pad Remote Control is already paired with the TV, remove or unpair it.

      1. Using the supplied IR remote control, press the HOME button.

      3. Under the Settings category, select Network & Accessories.
      4. Under the Network & Accessories category, select Bluetooth settings.

      6. Unpair the previous or other remote control.
