Video noise appears in fast moving scenes when switching between scenes or at screen edges

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

The Motionflow function creates interpolated images to make the picture smooth. Therefore, video noise may appear in fast-moving scenes or switching between scenes on your TV. If there's too much noise, change the Motionflow settings.

    Notes:

    • The display screen may differ depending on the model or operating system. The images below are just examples.
    • Not all Sony TVs have Motionflow settings. To verify whether your TV has this setting, check the menu by following these steps. If Motionflow is mentioned in BRAVIA® technical specs or marketing material by Sony, but the Motionflow menu is not available, then Motionflow settings are automatically adjusted by the TV.
