My OLED TV screen suddenly gets brighter or darker

If your TV screen brightness suddenly changes, check the following:
- Check the Auto luminance level, Ambient light sensor, Light and Color sensor, or Light sensor settings. If the sensor setting is On, the brightness of the TV screen changes to match the ambient lighting.
Check the following:
- Open the Settings screen.
- If the remote control has a Quick Settings ( or ) button, press the Quick Settings button and select Settings.
- If the remote control does not have a Quick Settings ( or ) button, press the HOME button and select Settings.
- This step will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select Display & Sound → Ambient Optimisation Pro → Auto adjust according to ambient light → Advanced settings → Auto luminance level.
- Select Display & Sound → Picture → Ambient light sensor or Light sensor → Auto luminance level.
- Select Display & Sound → Picture → Light and Color sensor → Brightness.
- Select Display & Sound → Picture → Light sensor.
- Select Display → Picture → Light sensor.
- Open the Settings screen.

Change the channel or the input source to see if the brightness returns to normal. When an image is displayed on the screen that may easily cause image retention, the brightness gradually reduces to protect the TV from image retention. The brightness returns to normal if you change the screen or perform another action that eliminates the risks of image retention.
Note: This function activates frequently because the HOME screen and the top screen apps contain bright still images.- Open the Settings screen.

- Select Display & Sound → Picture → Brightness → Peak luminance → Medium or Low.
- Select Display & Sound → Picture → Advanced settings → Brightness → Peak luminance → Medium or Low.
- Select Display → Picture → Advanced settings → Brightness → Peak Luminance → Medium or Low.
- Open the Settings screen.
