Manually Enter the Set-top Box Model Number

Follow the instructions below to manually enter the model number of your set-top box according to your TV type.

Before You Start

• This article applies to United Sates, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico only.
• Make sure to connect the IR blaster cable to the correct port on your TV. Check your manual for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
• Make sure that your set-top box supports the IR Blaster function. Contact the device manufacturer for compatibility information.

Android TV™ Models

1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select External Inputs.
4. Select IR Blaster setup.
5. Select Supported Models.
6. Select Set-top box.
7. Under the Search for your set-top box manufacturer screen, enter the manufacturer name of the cable or satellite box, then select DONE.

   

   • An error Model Not Found displays if your TV doesn't recognize the manufacturer's name.

8. Under the Select your manufacturer screen, select the manufacturer name of the cable or satellite box.
9. Under the Model number search screen, enter the model number of the cable or satellite box, then select DONE.
10. Select the model number of the cable or satellite box.
11. Under the Select the input to which your set-top box is connected screen, select the appropriate input used.

    

    • Press the INPUT button on the TV remote control if there's no signal.

12. Under the Set up TV program info screen, select START.
13. Enter your Zip code.
14. Under the Select your provider screen, select your service provider.
15. Select OK to complete the setup.

BRAVIA™ LCD TV Models

1. Press the HOME button.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select External Inputs.
4. Select IR Blaster setup.
5. select Supported Models.
6. Select Set-top box.
7. Under the Select your service provider screen, select your service provider.
8. Under the Search for your set-top box manufacturer screen, enter the manufacturer name of the cable or satellite box, then select DONE.

   

   • An error Model Not Found displays if the TV doesn't recognize the manufacturer's name.

9. Enter the model number of the cable or satellite box, then select DONE.
10. Enter your Zip code.
11. Under the Select the input to which your set-top box is connected screen, select the appropriate input used.

    

    • Press the INPUT button on the TV remote control if there's no signal.
