TV sound mode settings to use the Enable 3D Audio for TV Speakers setting of the PlayStation 5
To use the Enable 3D Audio for TV Speakers setting of the PlayStation 5 (PS5™) console, make sure the following sound settings are set on the TV:
Notes:
- If you turn on the Enable 3D Audio for TV Speakers function of the PS5 and the surround function of the TV at the same time, the sound effects may overlap, causing the output to sound strange.
- Turn off the Output 3D audio with TV speakers function of the PS5 when listening with audio (Bluetooth® speaker, headphones, audio system) other than the TV speakers.
Set Sound Mode to Standard:
Note: For some models, you must set the Sound Mode to Standard before setting the Surround to Auto. If Sound Mode is not shown on your model, skip this step and proceed with the Surround setting.
- Open the Settings screen according to your TV remote options:
- Press the (Quick settings) button, then select Settings.
- Press the HOME button, then select Settings.
- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select Display & Sound → Sound → Sound Mode → Standard.
- Select Sound → Sound Adjustments → Sound Mode → Standard.
- Select Sound → Sound Mode → Standard.
Set Surround to Auto:
- Open the Settings screen according to your TV remote options:
- Press the (Quick settings) button, then select Settings.
- Press the HOME button, then select Settings.
- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select Display & Sound → Sound (TV Speaker) → Surround → Auto.
- Select Display & Sound → Sound → Sound customization → Surround → Auto.
- Select Sound → Sound Adjustments → Surround → Auto.
- Select Sound → Surround → Auto.
