Connecting a BRAVIA TV to an external device via the Soundbar using HDMI (ARC / eARC) cables
If your Soundbar is eARC or ARC compatible and has an HDMI IN terminal, you can connect an external input device (Blu-ray Disc™ player, Game console, etc.) directly to the Soundbar instead of your TV.
Notes:
- With this type of connection, system sounds and audio responses are not output.
- For TVs with a built-in MIC, may degrade the voice recognition performance of the MIC .
Check if your Soundbar has an HDMI® output terminal marked as eARC / ARC or ARC, then select the appropriate option:
- The TV and Soundbar support eARC
- Only one of the TV or Soundbar supports eARC, or neither supports eARC but does support ARC
