High Dynamic Range (HDR) provides brighter images, deeper blacks, and wider array of color gamut than a 4K picture.

HDR 10 and Dolby Vision™ are two different formats of HDR. Both formats require a minimum of 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution. HDR 10 supports up to 4,000 nits peak brightness, 10-bit color depth, and capable of displaying DCI-P3 color gamut.
