How can I watch 4K and HDR content from an HDMI device connected to my Android TV or Google TV?

4K (50p/60p or 100/120p) content

Follow these instructions to view 4K picture with Enhanced format (18Gbps):

• Use a Premium High-Speed HDMI® cable which supports 18Gbps.
• Connect the HDMI cable to the 4K compatible HDMI port on the TV.
  Note: Information on the 4K compatible HDMI ports of your Android TV™ device is available.

• Set HDMI signal format to Enhanced format.
• 1. Access the Settings screen
     • If the remote control has a Quick Settings ( or ) button, press the Quick Settings button and select Settings.
     • If the remote control does not have a Quick Settings ( or ) button, press the HOME button and select Settings.
  2. Select Settings or the icon.
  3. Select External inputs in the TV category.
  4. Select HDMI signal format or HDMI signal format/VRR and set it to Enhanced format, Enhanced format, Enhanced Format (Dolby Vision), Enhanced Format (VRR), Enhanced format (Advanced), Enhanced format (4K120), Enhanced Format (8K), or Enhanced Format (4K120, 8K) depending on your TV model.

High Dynamic Range (HDR)

• Use a Premium High-Speed HDMI cable which supports 18Gbps.
• Connect the HDMI cable to the HDR-compatible HDMI port on the TV.
  Note: Information about the HDR-compatible HDMI ports on your Android TV is available.

• Set HDMI signal format to Enhanced format.
• 1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
  2. Select Settings or the icon.
  3. Select External inputs in the TV category.
  4. Select HDMI signal format and set it to Enhanced format.
