Compatible HDR (High Dynamic Range) formats for your TV
High Dynamic Range (HDR)
HDR enables the handling of brightness information of a wide dynamic range on your Android TV™ or Google TV™ compared to Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) signals used in normal broadcasts. This reproduces shades in bright areas that tend to have blown-out highlights and tones in dark areas that tend to lose. It allows the reproduction of images with depth and three-dimensional effects that make it feel as if you were seeing them with your own eyes.
Hybrid Log-gamma (HLG)
HLG is a "hybrid" format that enables the output of HDR images similar to HDR10 and Dolby Vision™ format. It can also express pictures with well-balanced brightness even on TVs in SDR.
HDR10
An HDR technology standard that's used with Ultra HD Blu-ray players.
Dolby Vision
