Backlight feature
What's special about the backlit remote control?
The backlit remote control lets you operate your TV even in complete darkness. The remote is motion-sensitive, so the buttons light up when you pick it up. It also connects to your TV via Bluetooth®, so you can change channels and adjust the volume without pointing it directly at your TV. How cool is that?
Notes:
- The design and specs of the remote control might be different based on where you are or your TV model.
- The only button that uses infrared communication on the remote control is the Power button. So, you'll need to point the remote at the TV to turn it on or off.
How to turn off the remote control's backlight
Follow these steps:
- On the remote control, press and hold the VOL – (Volume minus) and (HOME) buttons simultaneously for two seconds.
- Release those buttons when the remote control's MIC (Microphone) LED lights up twice.
Note: To turn the backlight back on, perform steps 1 and 2 again.
Find remote feature
IMPORTANT: This feature is only available if the bundled remote control has speaker holes on the back.
Some supplied TV remote controls have a built-in buzzer feature to help you find the remote when it's been misplaced (for example, hidden under a cushion or newspaper).
Follow these steps to activate the Find remote feature:
- Press the Power button on the TV. A menu appears on the TV screen.
Note: The location of the Power button depends on the TV model. The images are only examples, so refer to your TV manual for details.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and select Find remote on the displayed menu. A buzzer will play from the remote control.
Notes:
- Just a heads up, the Find remote option will only appear on the TV screen when a remote control with a built-in buzzer is paired with the TV.
- Keep in mind that there's a limit to how far you can search. If the TV signals don't reach the remote, the buzzer won't work.
