The issue occurs only when watching TV (not on the TV menu screen)
If the lines are not visible on the TV menu screen, an external source (such as a cable or satellite box, internet video device, or other devices like a DVD player) or cable connections could be the cause of the issue. Check the following to resolve the issue:
- Run the Self Diagnostics option on the TV (not available on all models). If your TV appears good during diagnostics, then it's an issue with the broadcast source, cable, video source device, or possible interference.
- Check if the cable going to your TV from your connected device is firmly connected on both ends to make sure it's not loose.
- Replace the cable to your TV from your connected device to see if the situation improves.
- Try connecting your device to a different input terminal on the TV:
- Connect your device to a different input terminal on your TV.
- On the TV's supplied remote control, press the Input button to switch to the input that corresponds to the connected device and check if the situation improves.
- Try connecting another device to your TV using the same input terminal to determine if the device itself is causing the issue.
- Try plugging the power cord into a different electrical outlet or surge protector, and eliminate any extension cords or power strips where possible.
- These symptoms may occur if the electrical outlet or wiring is faulty or experiencing electrical interference.
- If you have a surge protector or extension cord, it could be faulty or cause interference.
- Turn off any electrical or battery-operated devices that may create radio frequency (RF) interference, including any nearby fans or other items with a motor.
- If using an antenna, adjust the antenna direction and location for better reception.
- Nearby mountains or tall buildings reflecting the broadcast signals may cause issues with picture quality.
- The type of reception that you'll receive depends on the antenna type you're using and how far a particular station is. Visit the AntennaWeb website to check which stations are available in your area and the recommended type of antenna to use.

If the screen appears blurry, hazy, or dull while watching TV but not on the TV menu screen, an external source (such as a cable or satellite box, internet video device, or other devices like a DVD player) or cable connections could be the cause of the issue. Check the following to resolve the issue:
- For TVs with the Motionflow function, select Auto, Custom, Standard, or Off. Additional information is available for adjusting the picture settings on your TV.

- The quality obtained from DVD discs recorded on home DVD recorders often varies due to different quality settings used on the recorders. Picture quality from VHS tapes often appears to be significantly worse than other sources, symptoms often include a grainy and watery picture.
- Check if the cable is firmly connected to the TV and the connected device, and make sure it is not loose.
- Replace the cable going to your TV from your connected device to see if the situation improves.
- Try connecting your device to a different input terminal on the TV:
- Connect your device to another input terminal on your TV.
