Return to the TV broadcast screen or switch inputs on my Google TV or Android TV

    Different ways are provided below for returning to the TV broadcast from other inputs or to change inputs on your Google TV™ or Android TV™ device.

    Use the TV button on the Remote Control

    Google TV and Android TV models:

    Pressing the TV button on the remote allows you to switch to a TV channel or input from other applications.

    Notes:

    • The button may be in a different area depending on your TV remote.
    • Depending on your TV model, you can change the input that the TV button activates. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
    • For some older models with a touchpad remote control (not supplied with all TVs), you can only switch inputs through the HOME screen method.

    Use the Input button on the Remote Control

    Google TV and Android TV models:

    1. On the supplied remote control, press the INPUT button.
    2. Select the preferred input.

    Use the HOME screen

    Android TV models with Android 8.0 or later (excludes Google TV models):

    1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
    2. Select the rectangle with right pointing arrow Inputs icon from the menu in the upper right section of the TV screen.
    3. Select the preferred input.

    Android TV models with the 7.0 Nougat operating system and earlier:

    1. Press the HOME button.
    2. Use the up or down arrow buttons to go to the Input category.
    3. Select the preferred input.
