This article provides information on how to fix issues with the MP-CD1 Mobile Projector.
Power and Battery
Why does it take a long time to fully charge the built-in battery?
This occurs if you charge it during use. Turn off the mobile projector to fully charge the built-in battery.
Note: The temperature of the built-in battery increases if you use the mobile projector while charging it. This limits the charging time for safety purposes.
The lamp (white) and charge lamp (red) blink at the same time.
An internal error may have occured. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- On the side of the mobile projector, press and hold the button for more than one second.
- The mobile projector turns off.
- Press and hold the button for more than one second.
- The lamp lights up (white).
The chargelamp blinks red while the mobile projector supplies power to another device through the USB OUT jack.
Check the following to resolve the issue:
- Make sure that the USB Type-C™ cable is correctly connected.
- Check the charging specifications of the connected device, or contact the manufacturer for more information.
- The connected device may not be compatible with the charging specifications of the mobile projector.
Can't charge my mobile projector.
Make sure that the USB-C cable is securely connected to the USB-C IN or DC IN 5V.
Note:
- Use the USB OUT if you want to supply power to another device.
- The mobile projector will stop charging when the built-in battery is full.
My mobile projector automatically shuts down during use.
The following circumstances may cause this to occur:
- The built-in battery is running low.
- Make sure the built-in battery has charge.
- The mobile projector overheats due to the ambient temperature is more than 95°F (35°C).
- Let it cool down before using it again.
- If you use the mobile projector to supply power to another device and project an image at the same time.
Can't turn on my mobile projector.
Make sure that the built-in battery has charge. If the built-in battery won't charge, press and hold the button for than ten seconds.
Note: Use the mobile projector at ambient temperatures between 32°F (0°C) and 95°F (35°C).
My mobile projector freezes and won't respond.
Press and hold the button for than ten seconds to reset it.
Projecting an Image
Content from video on demand or streaming media doesn't project using Miracast® technology.
Content won't play with Miracast technology due to copyright protection.
The image doesn't project when I connect the PlayStation®3 gaming console through HDMI® connection.
The PlayStation 3 can only remember the last display resolution set on it. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Turn off the gaming console.
- Turn off your mobile projector.
- Press and hold the button for more than one second.
- Using an HDMI cable, connect the gaming console to HDMI/MHL IN on your mobile projector.
- Turn on the gaming console.
- Press the power button on the gaming console.
- Turn on your mobile projector.
- Press and hold the button for more than one second.
My mobile projector doesn't display the image from the connected device through HDMI connection.
Check the following to resolve the issue:
- Make sure to connect the HDMI cable to HDMI/MHL IN on the mobile projector properly.
- Make sure that the connected device supports HDMI singal.
Audio Adjustment
Can't adjust the volume when connected to an iPhone® cell phone or iPad® tablet.
You won't be able to adjust the volume due to the mobile device specifications. Connect an external speaker to AUDIO OUT of the mobile projector and adjust the volume on the speaker.
