The Accessibility shortcut provides an easier and faster way to switch your favorite accessibility functions.
Notes:
- The Accessibility shortcut function is not available during the initial setup.
- When the TalkBack, Screen reader, and Text magnification functions are set to ON using the Accessibility shortcut, some edit options, including Move and Hide in Inputs, can't be used.
- When the TalkBack, Screen reader, and Text magnification functions are set to ON using the Accessibility shortcut, some Quick Settings edit options can't be used.
Enable the Accessibility shortcut function
To enable the Accessibility shortcut function, press and hold the MUTE button on the supplied TV remote for more than five seconds.
Notes:
- When you use the Accessibility shortcut function for the first time, a message will appear, and the TV will read the title: Use Accessibility Shortcut? Then, the TV will read the focused button: USE SHORTCUT. Pressing the Enter button on the remote control enables the accessibility shortcut, and the TalkBack feature is assigned to the shortcut.
- The default setting of the Accessibility shortcut function is set to use the TalkBack feature (recommended).
- When the TalkBack feature is set to ON, the Edit function in Quick Settings can't be used.
- eARC mode is turned off when the TalkBack reader function is activated on eARC supported models.
Change the assigned Accessibility shortcut function
- On the remote control, press the Quick Settings ( or ) button and select Settings.
Note: For models released in 2021, the Quick Settings button is located on the remote's upper right of the navigation wheel.
- Select System.
- Select Accessibility.
- Select Accessibility shortcut.
- Select Shortcut service.
- Select your preferred accessibility function.
Turn the Accessibility shortcut function on or off using the MUTE button
Instead of starting from the Settings menu, you can turn the desired accessibility function On or Off by pressing and holding the MUTE button on the remote control until you hear a response (more than five seconds).
