Full HD-compatible compact

Designed to be a perfect accessory especially for compact cameras, the CLM-FHD5 is extra-capable at displaying glorious high-resolution Full HD images on a larger screen, in place of a viewfinder for cameras with a high pixel count, so you can use it to ensure precise focus by examining fine details.

Enlarge an image for a closer look

Press the center of the monitor's ZOOM/SELECT button to toggle through a magnification ratio cycle from 1x, to 3x, to 6x. With 3x or 6x magnification, you can move the enlarged area to a desired position for precise focus checking by manipulating the ZOOM/SELECT button (Up/Down/Left/Right).

Peaking function enables instant focus check

The monitor's peaking function displays an image in monochrome except for the area(s) that are in relatively sharp focus indicated in red, so you can instantly check to see if focus is where you want it to be. This function is also available for enlarged images, and different peaking levels are used for different magnifications.

False Color shows video signal level distribution

False Color function displays video signal levels of entire image input as color distribution to help users accurately set and adjust exposure levels. Six colors are used — red indicates 108% (video signal level) or more and violet indicates 3% (video signal level) or less.

Simplify checking for overexposure/underexposure

Video Level Marker colors specific video brightness levels in images to help achieve optimum exposure and skin tone according to a user-selected target video signal level. Relative to the user-selected level, dark gray indicates lower video signal level (areas of lower exposure) and light gray indicates higher video signal level (areas of higher exposure).

View S-Log images of natural brightness

S-Log Disp. Assist functions show S-Log images with brightness and contrast close to those of the image as it appears in regular shooting mode, for easier focusing and monitoring. It also allows users to adjust brightness while images are displayed in S-Log Disp. Assist (S-Log Disp. Assist Gain Adjustment).

Marker displays for more TV frame types

Choose suitable frame proportions to record movies. Select an 80% or 90% frame for viewing in either of two aspect ratios and see how the full image is to be cropped for TV viewing. Choose among four Marker display settings according to particular conditions for playback of your footage on a TV: 80% (16:9), 90% (16:9), 80% (4:3) and 90% (4:3).

C1 and C2 customizable buttons can provide direct, simple access among eight frequently used functions (Peaking, False Color, Video Level Marker, Volume, Brightness, Contrast, Color-tone (phase/hue), Backlight) for more speedy, intuitive, responsive shooting. Also, Peaking and False Color functions are assigned to C1 and C2 respectively by default.

More compatible with more camera brands

Only in an ideal world are we inseparable from our Sony cameras. But to make the CLM-FHD5 more practical for use from everyone's point of view in the real world, the monitor easily connects to a variety of cameras (in addition to Sony's) that are equipped with an HDMI terminal for high-resolution output and feature live-view function.

Full multi-angle flexibility

See a fantastic view from virtually any angle. The shoe adaptor in which the monitor sits can swivel about 180 degrees both right and left, and can flip about 90 degrees both forward and backward, so the monitor can pan and tilt as freely and smoothly as you want it to, whether it's mounted on a tripod, bracket, or other stable support.
