Features

Image of Exmor R CMOS Sensor

Exmor R™ CMOS sensor

The ZV-E10 II features Sony's most advanced sensor technology in an APS-C back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor. With 26.0-megapixel resolution, it allows high quality image capture with greater sensitivity and less noise, even in low light settings.

Image of BIONZ XR

The latest BIONZ XR™ image processing engine

With up to eight times more real-time processing power, the latest BIONZ XR image processing engine delivers extraordinary detail and sharpness for both stills and movies. The standard ISO range extends from 100 to 32000, offering an ideal combination of high sensitivity with low noise. And, thanks to its high-speed readout, 5.6K oversampling compresses a vast amount of information into stunning 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) footage at up to 60p.

Four images taken with Creative Look, demonstrating in-camera brightness, bokeh and colour adjustments, among other features

Create your vision in-camera

The Creative Look function makes it easy to create expressive moods for stills and movies right in the camera. 10 Creative Looks are provided as presets that can be used as they are or customised via a range of adjustable parameters. Try the My Image Style function for further expressive versatility. When shooting in the Intelligent Auto or Scene Selection mode, it allows the background bokeh, brightness, and colour tone to be easily adjusted via icons on the touch screen. This provides an intuitive way to adjust parameters to create expressive imagery without having to deal with technical details such as F stops, exposure compensation, or colour temperature.

Example image of a campervan driving along the road

Cinematic expression

Cinematic Vlog Setting provides an intuitive way to create cinematic vlog footage without having to deal with complex camera settings. By choosing an appropriate Look and Mood, anyone can create cinematic vlog footage that ideally matches the scene and their creative intent. Cinematic Vlog Setting includes "Looks" such as S-Cinetone™ that can enhance skin tones, "Moods" that can emphasise specific colours, and AF transition speed that determines how quickly autofocus will switch between subjects.

Interchangeable lenses to capture your vision

From the G Master™ series that blends breathtaking resolution with exquisite bokeh to the G Lens™ series with first-class image quality, the ZV-E10 II is compatible with a wide range of E-mount lenses from Sony. The ZV-E10 II lens kit comes with the versatile E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS II.

Example image of a male model smiling towards the camera with bokeh background

Clear, beautiful skin tones

The colours and textures of human skin are ideally and consistently reproduced no matter the lighting and are independently optimised for still and movie shooting. Gradation rendering has also been refined for better looking skin tones and highlight roll-off in portraits. For further enhancement, the Soft Skin Effect de-emphasises wrinkles and blemishes on the subject's face while increasing clarity around the eyes and mouth for great-looking skin, alongside Face Priority AE, which automatically maintains optimum exposure for faces, even in backlit or dimly lit situations.

Example image of a woman walking along a bright courtyard corridor, looking towards the courtyard centre

Easily capture fleeting expressions and scenes

Capture motion with new creative freedom using the S&Q modes. The ZV-E10 II offers up to 5x slow motion video, leveraging 120 fps capture for 24p playback and the high quality XAVC-S Full HD format. Time-lapse sequences can also be created in-camera and are particularly effective for capturing the movements of people, cities or clouds in time-compressed form. The exposure interval can be set from one second to 60 seconds, making it easy to compress slow action into impressive time-lapse sequences. When capturing still images, continuous shooting with the camera's electronic shutter is possible at up to 11 fps with full AF/AE tracking, making it possible to capture the most fleeting movements and expressions.

Example image of a female model facing left in colourful courtyard

High-density 759-point focal plane phase-detection AF

The latest BIONZ XR image processing engine and optimised algorithms produce notably improved AF performance. A high-density array of 759 focal plane phase detection AF points covers almost the entire image area to ensure smooth, precise focus.

Stable handheld shooting

Active Mode electronic image stabilisation employs a precision gyroscope and advanced algorithm to accurately measure and compensate for camera shake, providing highly effective stabilisation without sacrificing mobility, even when shooting 4K. Standard, and Active stabilisation settings can be selected as needed via the menu. With compatible lenses, breathing compensation automatically compensates for minor angle-of-view shifts when the lens focus changes, delivering professional, distraction-free, rack focusing.

Intelligent 3-capsule microphone

An advanced 3-capsule microphone offers excellent pickup and noise reduction performance, making it easier than ever to record clear, high-quality audio. Select Auto or choose from Front, Rear, or All Directions settings to match a variety of recording situations and environments.

Product image of a wind screen attached to the camera top

Enhanced audio for shooting and editing

The ZV-E10 II is supplied with a simple windscreen to significantly reduce noise when shooting in outdoor situations. For more versatile audio capture, digital audio interfaces are supported by the camera's Multi Interface (Ml) Shoe, enabling direct transfer of high-quality digital audio with minimal degradation to the camera from microphones, such as the optional ECM series.

Example image of four men and women chatting around an orange campervan

4K 60p / 10-bit 4:2:2 All-Intra

The ZV-E10 II supports a range of recording formats including 10-bit 4:2:2 video and All-Intra compression at up to 4K 60p resolutions. For professional workflows, User LUT files can be imported to record the desired look directly in camera, enabling efficient and predictable post-production in software like Catalyst Browse, Catalyst Prepare / Plugin and Master Cut.

Precise subject tracking with Real-time Eye AF

Real-time Eye AF recognises—with high precision—the faces and eyes of humans, as well as the eyes of animals and birds, for consistently accurate, reliable focus. Real-time Tracking ensures that focus is maintained on the subject as it moves around in the frame. Leave the focusing to the camera so you can concentrate on composition.
