It weighs just 107 grams (3.8 oz.) and retracts to 31.3 mm (1-1/4 inch) when powered off. Refined AF ensures reliable focus while zooming, and built-in image stabilisation minimises blur. Excellent optical performance
Four aspherical elements and one ED (Extra low Dispersion) element in a 9-element 8-group optical design contribute to high resolution throughout a 16-50 mm zoom range (35mm full-frame equivalent: 24-75 mm). Colour bleeding is minimal, clarity is excellent, and smooth bokeh is available when needed.

Focus breathing is controlled to minimise distracting shifts in angle of view while focusing for exceptionally smooth, stable footage.
