How to program the remote control using a preset code number.

Follow this procedure to program the remote control using a preset code number.

NOTE: Ensure the product for which the remote control is to be programmed is turned off before starting this procedure.

1. On the remote control, press the HOME button.
2. On the touch-screen LCD , tap and hold the SET key for 2 seconds.
3. Release the SET key.
4. Tap the PRESET key.
5. Tap the appropriate component key for the type of product that the remote control is to be programmed.

NOTES:

• Tap TV to program the remote control to operate a television.
• Tap VCR to program the remote control to operate a VCR.
• Tap CABLE to program the remote control to operate a cable box.
• Tap DVD to program the remote control to operate a DVD player.
• Tap DVR to program the remote control to operate a digital video recorder.
• Tap SAT to program the remote control to operate a satellite receiver.
• Tap RCVR to program the remote control to operate an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver.
• Tap CD to program the remote control to operate a CD player.
• Tap MD to program the remote control to operate a MiniDisc (MD) player.
6. Tap the BRAND key.
7. Tap the OK key.
8. Tap to select a code number for the appropriate brand name of the product.
9. Tap the TEST key.

NOTE: If the product does not respond and more than one code number is listed for the brand name of the product, tap to select another code number and then tap the TEST key.

10. Tap the OK key.
