Computer does not recognize or detect a camera with multiple USB settings.
Camcorders with multiple USB connecting settings (Auto, Mass Storage and MTP) may not be recognized by the computer or Picture Motion Browser if it is not set as a Mass Storage device.
NOTE: The default setting is Auto, but PMB and the computer may still not recognize the camera unless it is changed to Mass Storage.
Follow these steps to change the camcorder to a Mass Storage device to be recognized by PMB.
- On the camcorder LCD screen, touch Menu and then touch Setup.
- Under Connection, select USB Connect Settings.
- Select Mass Storage.
- Reconnect the camcorder to the computer USB and PMB should recognize it as a Mass Storage device .
