When the power is off, internal parts rattle when I shake the camera. Is it broken?
Some of the internal parts and mechanisms of the camera are at free-state and can move when the power is off. Therefore, when you slightly shake the camera such as while in transport, the internal mechanisms may move and produce sound. This is normal behavior that doesn't affect the camera performance and operation.
Notes:
- When shaking the camera, you will hear rattling noises whether the lens is attached or not.
- Excessive movement caused by dropping the camera or other impact damage may not be covered under warranty.
