The camera will not record the date on pictures
IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.
Camera models manufactured between 2006-2010 do not have a superimpose function to display the date stamp on pictures. However, the time and date can be printed on images from a computer using the Microsoft Paint® software. Additionally, if the camera is compatible with Canon® PictBridge™ technology, the time or date can be added to a picture by a printer that also has built-in PictBridge technology.
Notes:
- Some current camera models (manufactured starting from 2011) now have the Write Date feature which will record a shooting date on a still image. To see if your camera has the Write Date feature, check the specifications. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
- More information is available about the Write Date feature .
