A WBFLASH prompt with the error Cannot read the system information can occur while installing a BIOS Update in the computer.
This error can occur if the computer it is not able to properly detect or read system information such as the Model number, Serial number or installed BIOS version. Follow these steps to resolve the issue.
- Download and install the Sony Shared Library update, available through the Drivers & Software link on this page.
- Restart the computer.
- Attempt to download and install the BIOS Update, also available through the Drivers & Software link on this page.
- After installing the BIOS update, restart the computer again.
