How to enable Geotagging? ( Android 10 or higher )

    Valid for

    • Android™ 10 or higher

    Follow the steps below to enable geotagging according to your operating system.

    Android 11 or higher

    1. Find and tap SettingsLocation.
    2. Tap the Use location slider to enable or disable the location services.
    3. Tap App access to location / App-level permissions.
    4. Find and tap Camera/Photography Pro.
      Note: On the premium models (Xperia® 1 III, Xperia 5 III, Xperia PRO-I, Xperia 1 IV, Xperia 5 IV, and Xperia 1 V), the Camera app function has been merged into Photography Pro basic mode.
    5. Select the desired option to enable geotagging in the photos.

    Android 10

    1. Find and tap SettingsLocation.
    2. Tap the Use location slider to enable or disable the location services.
    3. Tap App-level Permissions.
    4. Find and tap Camera.
    5. Select Allow all the time to enable geotagging in the photos.

    Note: The Place function, including adding or editing a geotag from the Album app, has been removed in the Album app version 9.6 for Android 9 or higher devices.
